It is OFICIALLY SPRING!! WAHOO!!! I am happy. What are your plans? Is it even warm where you are at? Some places are still snowing. I hope all of that is behind us, because I need warm weather! I am starting my garden soon. The husband and I plan to build some raised garden beds this weekend. I have some veggies growing already inside the house. I HAD some cucumbers that were doing really well, until I put them outside yesterday to get a little sun. The neighbors cat decided she was going to come disturb my beautiful cucumber greenery!!!! So next time, I am putting them in the backyard where my dog is. They should be safe and sound back there. I am kind of worried about the birds. Does anyone have any tips on how to keep birds away from my garden?

 

Garbage Disposal Cleaners DIY

I just wanted to share a quick tip on how to keep your garbage disposal smelling fresh and clean. I found this pin on Pinterest

So I decided to try it for myself. The items you need are vinegar, lemon peels or orange peels and some sort of pan to freeze them in. These are the items I used.

 

 

This is the pan I used. It's one of those mini muffin pans. I started by placing chopped pieces of the orange and lemon peel in each muffin.

 

 

After you fill the pan, pour vinegar to the rim of the muffin pan. Place in freezer overnight, then in the morning pop them out. I just used a warm butter knife, and they popped out very easily.

 

 

 

This is the finished product! Easy and simple and they smell so good!!!

Homeschooling Choices

I have been homeschooling my youngest for almost a year now. He was going to a public charter school. Which was wonderful by the way. He really didn't do so well though. His behavior was all over the place and he really didn't learn all that much. I decided to pull him out mid year and home school him. I started off slowly using abcmouse.com and he did good. We did that for half a year and then took summer break off. We decided to redo Kinder this year. That's when I heard good things about Time4Learning. The curriculum is awesome! He is learning so much and it really keeps him entertained. He loves to talk about what he's learning everyday. It covers three major subjects. Language Arts, Math and Science. So if you are just starting to home school your little one and don't know really what you want to do yet, I would start there. Time4Learning has helped us so much.
